Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Operational Systems, Inc. collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users (each, a “User”) of the www.operationalsystems.com website (“Site”). This privacy policy applies to the Site and all products and services offered by the Site. We are a ‘data controller’ under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, and we may collect some ‘personally identifiable information’ as covered by the laws of other states.

This site is intended for a United States audience. Regardless of your location, any information you provide, including any personal data, will be transferred to and processed by a computer server located within the United States. If you are using this site in the EU, any transfer of your data will be carried out in accordance with the law, to safeguard your privacy rights and in the unlikely event of a security breach, give you remedies, or any other similar approved mechanisms.

Personal identification information

This is information that tells us who you are. We may collect personal identification information from Users only when Users visit our site, fill out the “get in touch” form, and submit that information to us. We collect this information only when you fill out and submit an online form providing us personal identification information, such as your first and last name and email address, and any other personally identifying information you voluntarily submit in the “details” section of the form. We collect, process, and use your personal data for specific purposes if you have given your consent to the collection, processing and use of specific personal data for such purposes. You may withdraw your consent any time.

We may collect your personal data if processing is necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interests, except where such interest is overridden by your interest; or:

  • is required due to legal obligations or orders by public authorities or courts,
  • is necessary to substantiate or protect legal claims or to defend against lawsuits, or
  • serves to prevent abuse or other illegal activities.

Users may visit our Site anonymously. We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply personal identification information.

Non-personal identification information

This refers to information that does not by itself identify a specific individual. We gather certain information about you based upon where you visit on our site in several ways. This information is compiled and analyzed on both an individual and an aggregated basis. This information may include the website’s Uniform Resource Locator (“URL”) that you just came from, which URL you go to next, what browser you are using, and your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address. A URL is the global address of documents and other resources on the World Wide Web. An IP address is an identifier for a computer or device on a Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (“TCP/IP”) network, such as the World Wide Web. Networks like the World Wide Web use the TCP/IP protocol to route information based on the IP address of the destination. In other words, an IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you are surfing the World Wide Web, allowing web servers to locate and identify your computer. Computers require IP addresses in order for users to communicate on the Internet.

You are always free to decline our cookies if your browser permits, or set your browser to alert you when cookies are being sent, but some parts of our site may not work properly in that case.
